The Bearded Lady: How To Manage That Pesky Facial Hair

Frustrated with that hair on your face? I definitely understand your pain! A few years ago, I noticed a dark strand of hair on my chin. I wasted no time, grabbed my tweezers, and plucked it. Unfortunately, that strand of hair continuously grows back. For women who have more than one it can be quit annoying at times. Luckily, there are several different ways to manage/remove those annoying facial hairs.

BLEACHING
Bleaching is a very simple painless method that take no longer than 10 minutes to work. The bleach lightens the facial hair making it easier to blend in with your skin. Unfortunately, if you have thick long strands of facial hair or are a darker complexion, the lightening of your hair may make it stand out even more. This method is perfect for people with fine facial hairs and those of a lighter complexion. Bleaching creams can be found at Target, Walmart, or your local drug stores.

WAXING
If you get your eyebrows waxed you already know the benefits of a good waxing. Waxing is spreading hot soft wax across the area you want to remove hair from. After that is completed, a piece of paper is placed on top allowing the wax to adhere to the paper. The hair is then removed my pulling on the paper ripping the hair out. This method removes the hair from the root which allows waxing to  last several days to a few weeks depending on how fast your hair grows. If the wax is too hot you may be left with a burn. Facial waxing is available at some hair salons, nail salons, and spas. You can also purchase at home waxing products like Veet Hair Removal Strips and Sally Hansen's Wax Strips Hair Remover Kit For Face, Brows & Bikini at local stores.
TWEEZING
Tweezing is great for women that only have a few strands of hair on their face they want to remove. Tweezing is done by using tweezers. The method to tweezing is getting the tweezer as close to the base of the hair and pulling it out. You can purchase tweezers at your local drug store, grocery store, Walmart, Target, Sephora, or Ulta. The cost of tweezers start at $1.
DEPILATORIES
You are probably saying, "depila-what?!" Yes, Depilatories! You may know them as Veet or Nair hair removal creams. The cream works by spreading it across the area you would like to remove the hair from and letting it sit for a few minutes (time varies depending on the brand). While the cream is spread across your skin it dissolves the hair follicle at the base. After letting it sit, you take a wet warm cloth and wipe off the hair and cream. Be sure to purchase a depilatory specifically for facial hair. Using a cream for the body on the face and leaving the cream on for a long time may result in a burn. Also, some creams have a very strong scent.
LASER
A very expensive method with long lasting benefits is laser hair removal. You can choose to get the laser hair removal that last for a few months or you can choose the option to have your hair removed permanently. This method is painful because the laser produces heat and the nerve ending attached to the hair reacts to it. This hair removal method can run between $150 to $400 per section on your face.
EPILATOR
An epilator looks like a electric razor but instead of having blades it has small little tweezers. You use the Epilator by gliding it across your skin where hair is just like a razor. This method is VERY painful but gives great results that can last for up to two weeks. Epilators are sometimes pricey but you can find great deals online. Here is a video by youtube Beauty Guru AndreasChoice demonstrating how to use the Epilator. Her Epilator is more so for the body. It can be used on the face but there are smaller epilators.

More power to Andrea because I would NEVER use this thing!

I'm Back!

I am excited to be back on Blogger.com. Blogger and I have gone through ups and down. Over the last few years, I've started over four different blogs. One blog was for a class of mine and the others were just random topics that I enjoyed talking/writing about (celebrities, health, and etc). After a few months, I would get tired of one blog and move on to the next. My mind was all over the place.
That's me! =)
Last year, around June 2011, I started a Tumblr page just so my URL I created (www.loveresee.com) would have a home.  Yes, I cheated on Blogger with Tumblr. Tumblr was so easy. I didn't have to write anything if I didn't want to. I could reblog my life away. After a few months I started feeling like I was wasting my money having this URL on a Tumblr page. I missed writing my views on different subjects and sharing the knowledge I've gained over the years. After a lot of thinking, I decided to move my URL over to this blog once I add more posts.
One of my goals for 2012 is to start a youtube channel and to also run a blog based off of my youtube channel. This is it! I am excited to officially begin. I always knew I would come back to Blogger.
If you have any questions or topics you want me to cover you can send me a email at Claricefelicia@gmail.com. You can also find me on twitter at http://www.twitter.com/love_resee. I am on Beautylish at http://www.beautylish.com/loveresee. I have not posted any videos yet but I am also on Youtube at http://www.youtube.com/loveresee.

Thanks for reading and don’t forget to follow this blog =)
