One Easy and Cheap Way to Achieve Whiter Teeth

© Photographerlondon | Dreamstime.com - Woman With Perfect White Teeth Photo
Ever since I can remember, I’ve been obsessed with achieving movie-star white teeth. I love a man with perfection in his mouth. There is nothing more attractive than someone with a nice smile and bright pearly whites. It catches me off guard when a guy with beautiful, bright, white teeth smiles at me (insert heart-eyes emoji). Unfortunately, I also notice yellow teeth. There are a lot of adults walking around with stained teeth from what they eat, drink, smoke, and not brushing their teeth twice a day.

If you’ve been longing for movie-star white teeth, like myself, the best and most expensive way to achieve your goal is by scheduling to have your teeth bleached professionally at your local dental office. Teeth can instantly become up to 10 shades whiter after one visit. This may require follow up sessions every 6 months to keep your teeth extremely white or the dentist will send you home with a teeth whitening kit for maintenance after your session. These appointments usually start around $500 or higher a visit.

If you cannot afford (or refuse) to spend hundreds of dollars getting your teeth whitened professionally, there is a cheap an easy way to achieve whiter teeth over time and it cost only $1.

Picture Perfect?

I follow a few Instagram beauty pages. I always thought, "Man, her/his face looks flawless. No imperfections at all." I recently realized that a lot of the Instagram beauty photos are enhanced by editing. Technology has advanced so much that we can now edit photos on our phones in a matter of seconds.

Sally Hansens Salon Effects Nail Polish Strips review

I have been wanting to try Sally Hansen Salon Effects Real Nail Polish Strips for a long time. In fact, I purchased a box back in February but never had a chance to use them. In June, I finally had some time to try them out and write a review.

I purchased my box of nail polish strips from Wal-mart. I can't remember the exact price because I bought them so long ago but they retail for $6.50 to $9 a box, depending where you buy them. At the time of purchase, there were not many pattern options to choose from but I was drawn to the words on a particular box. The nail polish strip that had my attention  was named Love Letter. Soon as I read the name of the nail polish strip I knew I had to purchase this print.

The first official Glossybox for the United States

I love watching youtube beauty guru videos. In January of this year, I decided to watch past videos on Anna Saccone's youtube channel, The Style Diet. Anna is a 24 year old in love with beauty and health. She lives in Ireland.

In a few of the Style Diet videos, Anna mentions Glossybox. If you are not familiar, Glossbox is a subscription based website that sends sample to travel sizes of 5 to 6 beauty products each month for $21 a month. After watching style diets video, I began a internet search to see if Glossybox was in the USA. Unfortunately, at the time it was not BUT I did find a United States website for Glossybox US stating it was coming to the US soon. The website also allowed those who were patiently waiting (like me) to add their email to the email list to receive the latest updates and newsletters from the Glossybox US website.

I bought a few items from Ulta and Rite Aid back in February. I have finally found some time to show you those items. The haul is centered around one product by Revlon called Lip Butters. I bought three different kinds from Ulta and several different kinds of Rite Aid. They all are a different shade and I think the Lip Butters are amazing.

Exclusive Make Up For Ever Products on QVC

The first and only time I purchased something from QVC was a few weeks ago. Smashbox created the Photo Op Mega Palette exclusively for QVC customers. Since I normally do not shop on QVC, I though this palette would be my first and last QVC purchase. That was until I received an exciting email from a well known cosmetics company.

Make Up For Ever (MUFE) will be featured on QVC Monday, March 19th at 9 am. MUFE will be selling products the company created exclusively for QVC only. MUFE will also be selling products that are already available in Sephora.

The exclusive products will ONLY be for QVC and cannot be purchased any where else. I am hoping the exclusive products have great deals just like the Smashbox Photo Op Mega Palette.

Will you be tuning in? I know most people will be at work. If you do decide to watch the MUFE segment on QVC and want to buy a product that is already available in the stores, make sure you do a little research. Sometimes QVC's prices are higher than retailers.

Luckily for me, Mondays are my days off! I am excited find out about the exclusive products and deals.

Small Wet n Wild Haul

I have been hearing a lot of great things about Wet n Wild products lately. I was actually surprised to hear the same products some of my friends use to use as  teenagers are still a favorite drugstore brand for adult women.

This past Tuesday, I decided to stop by CVS and purchase a few palettes. I really wanted to purchase the 8 eye shadow Wet N Wild palettes. To my surprise, ALL of those palettes were sold out. The only eye shadows available were two different trios. The other eye shadows being sold out confirms Wet N Wild still has a huge following. I've been missing out. I decide to buy the only products left at CVS. I bought two different eye shadow trios, one lipstick, and a blush.

Wet N Wild's Wild shine Lipstick in Passionate 921

This beautiful nude with pink undertone lipstick glides on easily. When applying it to my lips, it  reminds me of Revlon's lip butters but with more pigmentation. This lipstick is very moisturizing.  The only con about this lipstick is the size. It is very small and skinny. If used consistently, You will need another one within 2 weeks.

The photos below shows how different the color looks in different lighting. Without the flash the lipstick looks like a light pink neutral color. With the flash on the lipstick looks hot pink with hints of purple.

Wet N' Wild's Blush and eye shadows
I have not had a chance to actually try out and wear the eye shadows or blush. I did take a couple swatches of each product and I am very surprised at how pigmented each eye shadows and blush are. These products really give you a bang for your buck. Below are swatches and photos of the product with and without the flash.

The name of this palette is Walking On Eggshells 380B. Each eye shadow is engraved
with the area the eyeshadow should be applied.

The name of this palette is Spoiled Brat 336. Each eye shadow is engraved
with the area the eyeshadow should be applied.

The name of this blush is Heather Silk 832E.
You should use a light hand when applying this blush. It is very pigmented.

I believe Wet N Wild is a favorite drugstore brand for a lot of women because the price of the products are extremely low. I purchased each product for $2.99 each. That totals to $11.96 (not including taxes) for 4 different products. One Revlon lipstick costs anywhere between $6 to $8.

Take some time out to look through Wet N Wild products the next time you are out to purchase makeup. You may be surprised at the amazing products you will find. Wet N Wild is definitely a oldie but a goodie!

Makeup Products for Beginners Part 2: BH Cosmetics 4th Edition Palette

New to makeup and want to experiment with different eyeshadows? No worries! I've have the perfect product for you. The first post in the series, Makeup Products for Beginners by loveresee.com, features a blush palette from BH Cosmetics. BH cosmetics also has affordable eye shadow palettes great for makeup beginners and people with experience.

BH Cosmetics has 4 different editions of the 120 color eye shadow palette. The palette loveresee.com is featuring today is the 120 4th edition color palette, Ultra Shimmer. This palette contains beautiful vibrant colors and shimmers. Shimmers are the little sparkles that can be found in some eye shadows. This product is great for beginners because shimmers are easier to work with than matte eye shadows. If not blended properly, matte eye shadows can end up looking horrible. With shimmer eye shadows, you can apply it  all over the lid alone or blend with other colors and it will look like you put in a lot of effort.

Below are photos of the Ultra Shimmer 120 4th Edition Color Palette and photos of swatches from random eyeshadows in the top and bottom trays of the palette. As you will see the color pay off is amazing for the price.

Palette come in a box (top photo). Inside the box the palette is covered in plastic.

120 palette comes in 2 trays of 60 eye shadows
stacked on top of each other. A plastic sheet is on top of eye tray to protect the eye shadow.

Random Swatches from the top palette.

Random Swatches from the bottom palette.

BH Cosmetics always has some sort of sale going on everyday. The Ultra Shimmer 120 Palette retails for $34.95 but is currently on sale for $29.71. I purchased this palette beginning of December 2011 and paid around $25 for it. The current price of $29.71 is still a great deal for 120 different color eye shadows compared to paying $15 for one MAC Cosmetics eye shadow.

If interested in buying this palette visit BH Cosmetics' website http://www.bhcosmetics.com/. Below is a video tutorial by DulceCandy87 using the 120 4th edition color palette, Ultra Shimmer. Enjoy!

Hautelook.com: NYX Cosmetics

If you watch the beauty gurus on youtube then you are familiar with the website Hautelook.com. So many of them mention this website in videos. Hautelook is a great place to score amazing deals on fashion, beauty, and lifestyle items. Items that are normally high in price are offered on the website for a short period time at a discount rate or packaged deal.

I've always looked but never purchased anything. When I first heard about Hautelook, I missed the sale on NYX Cosmetics by 1 hour. I decided to wait until Hautelook did another NYX sale. Yesterday I received an email that Hautelook will be having a sale on NYX Products today. The sale started today at 8 am Pacific Time and ends on March 14, 2012 8 am Pacific time. I was extremely excited and purchased a few things.

Normally, lipsticks on the NYX website are about $4 each (probably more in stores like Ulta and Sephora). Below is an example of how great the deals are. You will see just how much I spent and saved just by buying a set. You will be a believer at this!

Lip Set: 4 different nude pink lipsticks, Slim Lip Pencil Liner in Nude, and Jumbo Lip Pencil in Iris for $14.50.
If purchased alone this lip set would have totaled $24. Each lipstick is $4, each jumbo pencil is $4.50, and each slim lip pencil is $3.50 alone. I saved $9.50 on buying this one set. Below are more purchases I made.

Jumbo Eye Pencil Set: 6 Jumbo Eye Pencils for $16

Lip Set: 5 different Soft Matte Lip Creams for $18.

Stick Blush Set: 3 different Dewey Petal Stick Blushes for $11.

Lip Set: 3 different red lipsticks, Slim Pencil Lip Liner in Deep Red, and Jumbo Lip Pencil in Plush Red for  $12.

Are you a believer in Hautelook yet? If so, don't forget to visit the website and see what other great items they have currently on their http://www.hautelook.com/events#all. They sell shoes, handbags, furniture, and lots more. Look around and enjoy those savings!

I received My Smashbox Photo Op Mega Palette!!!

I was extremely excited yesterday to receive my Smashbox Photo Op Mega Palette. I first heard about this amazing palette from watching EmilyNoel83's, a popular youtube beauty Guru, youtube videos. She has a tutorial using this palette and a few other videos about the palette. Emily speaks very highly about this mega palette and I decided to purchase my own.

Unfortunately, this palette cannot be purchased at the local Ulta, Sephora, or any other place that sells makeup in the store. Smashbox created this palette exclusively for QVC customers. You can call into QVC to order the product or you can place an order online. The price of the Smashbox Photo Op Mega Palette is $93.48 (not including shipping and tax) which may seem like a lot but it is actually a steal. A small Smashbox Photo Op eye shadow trio retails for about $28 each. A trio is a small palette that includes 3 different color eyeshadows. In this Smashbox Photo Op Mega Palette there are 16 full size Photo Op eye shadow trios (48 eyeshadows), 2 full size Photo Op eye shadow quads (8 eye shadows), 2 full size blushes, 4 lip glosses, brow tech powder & wax, 4 soft lights, and 4 cream eye liners all for $93.48. That is equivalent of buying only 3 small Smashbox trios at the store.

What I also love about this palette is that it comes with 6 photos of different looks and instructions on how to create each look. There are so many different options in this palette that I can literally create hundreds of looks for the eyes, cheeks, and lips. The palette also comes with a plastic film to protect and cover the makeup and also displays the name of each eye shadow, lip gloss, blush, brow tech powder, wax, and gel liners.

If you are still not sure about giving up $93.48 on a makeup product all at once, don't worry. QVC offers flex payments for this product. Flex payments allows you to split up the cost of this product including the shipping and handling. You can receive the palette now and QVC will auto bill your debit/credit card over the course of 4 months. That is about $27 each month (may vary depending on state taxes in your area) for 4 months.

Below are some photos of the Smashbox Photo Op Mega Palette.

Makeup Products For Beginners Part 1: BH Cosmetics 10 Blush Palette

If you are a beginner in makeup, it can be a bit overwhelming trying to figure out what products work best for you. Most experienced Makeup Artists learn just by experimenting with different colors and products. It can be a bit costly having to find, buy, and try different things. Unfortunately, beginners will have to do the same thing. It is the only way to know what really works for your skin type and color. Luckily for you there is a company that sells all types of inexpensive makeup products that are of decent quality.

BH Cosmetics (www.BHCosmetics.com) sells affordable makeup for your eyes, face, and lips. The company always has some sort of sale going on everyday on majority, if not all, of their products and there are so many options to choose from. What I love about BH Cosmetics are their palettes. Purchasing their already filled makeup palettes allow you to try all sorts of colors without breaking the bank.

BH Cosmetics has great options for Blush. Blush is used to create a natural glow and also used to enhance and sometimes manipulate the appearance of your facial structure. The key to applying blush is not putting too much on your face but putting just enough to barely see the color. When blended in properly is does look like you are "bushing" a little or have a nice glow.

For beginners, I suggest you try BH Cosmetics' 10 Piece Professional Blush Palette. Even though this palette's name says "professional" it is great for beginners. This Palette holds 10 different types of blush colors. Some of the blushes are matte and others have shimmers. The best thing about this palette is that it is regularly priced at $16.95 but currently on sale $10.51. Blushes at the MAC counter are almost double the price for just one color.

I am a owner of this blush palette myself. Below are some photos and swatches of the blushes on my skin. The only con about this palette that there are one maybe two blushes that a little hard to see. That can be easily fixed my building (reapplying) the product until you achieve the visibility you are looking for. It is still worth the money.

BH Cosmetics ships out the products fast. I have personally ordered from their website at least three times and I received all my orders in about 3 business days or less. I've never had and issue with any of the items I ordered. The products arrive well packaged to prevent items from breaking or being altered.

If you need more information on applying blush visit the website Makeupsense.com This website gives a in-depth explanation and show examples on "how to choose textures that work with your other makeup, which are the most flattering hues for your skin tone, and how to emphasize or modify your face shape with blush." http://www.makeupsense.com/en/face/blush/

The Bearded Lady: How To Manage That Pesky Facial Hair

Frustrated with that hair on your face? I definitely understand your pain! A few years ago, I noticed a dark strand of hair on my chin. I wasted no time, grabbed my tweezers, and plucked it. Unfortunately, that strand of hair continuously grows back. For women who have more than one it can be quit annoying at times. Luckily, there are several different ways to manage/remove those annoying facial hairs.

BLEACHING
Bleaching is a very simple painless method that take no longer than 10 minutes to work. The bleach lightens the facial hair making it easier to blend in with your skin. Unfortunately, if you have thick long strands of facial hair or are a darker complexion, the lightening of your hair may make it stand out even more. This method is perfect for people with fine facial hairs and those of a lighter complexion. Bleaching creams can be found at Target, Walmart, or your local drug stores.
Image created by Stuart Miles
http://www.freedigitalphotos.net/images/view_photog.php?photogid=2664
WAXING
If you get your eyebrows waxed you already know the benefits of a good waxing. Waxing is spreading hot soft wax across the area you want to remove hair from. After that is completed, a piece of paper is placed on top allowing the wax to adhere to the paper. The hair is then removed my pulling on the paper ripping the hair out. This method removes the hair from the root which allows waxing to  last several days to a few weeks depending on how fast your hair grows. If the wax is too hot you may be left with a burn. Facial waxing is available at some hair salons, nail salons, and spas. You can also purchase at home waxing products like Veet Hair Removal Strips and Sally Hansen's Wax Strips Hair Remover Kit For Face, Brows & Bikini at local stores.
TWEEZING
Tweezing is great for women that only have a few strands of hair on their face they want to remove. Tweezing is done by using tweezers. The method to tweezing is getting the tweezer as close to the base of the hair and pulling it out. You can purchase tweezers at your local drug store, grocery store, Walmart, Target, Sephora, or Ulta. The cost of tweezers start at $1.
DEPILATORIES
You are probably saying, "depila-what?!" Yes, Depilatories! You may know them as Veet or Nair hair removal creams. The cream works by spreading it across the area you would like to remove the hair from and letting it sit for a few minutes (time varies depending on the brand). While the cream is spread across your skin it dissolves the hair follicle at the base. After letting it sit, you take a wet warm cloth and wipe off the hair and cream. Be sure to purchase a depilatory specifically for facial hair. Using a cream for the body on the face and leaving the cream on for a long time may result in a burn. Also, some creams have a very strong scent.
LASER
A very expensive method with long lasting benefits is laser hair removal. You can choose to get the laser hair removal that last for a few months or you can choose the option to have your hair removed permanently. This method is painful because the laser produces heat and the nerve ending attached to the hair reacts to it. This hair removal method can run between $150 to $400 per section on your face.
EPILATOR
An epilator looks like a electric razor but instead of having blades it has small little tweezers. You use the Epilator by gliding it across your skin where hair is just like a razor. This method is VERY painful but gives great results that can last for up to two weeks. Epilators are sometimes pricey but you can find great deals online. Here is a video by youtube Beauty Guru AndreasChoice demonstrating how to use the Epilator. Her Epilator is more so for the body. It can be used on the face but there are smaller epilators.

More power to Andrea because I would NEVER use this thing!

Love,

Resee
